The 999 tattoo really became popular due to the rapper Juice Wrld, born Jarad Anthony Higgins. Sadly, Juice Wrld's career was cut short when he passed away in 2019, at the tender age of 21.
Juice Wrld was an eclectic artist taking inspiration from a number of different music genres and turning it into soulful and beautiful music. One of this greatest hits was Lucid Dreams.
He also worked with other artists like Benny Blanco.
Juice Wrld bore a 999 tattoo on his hand - it was drawn inside a skull. When asked about it, Juice Wrld explained in an MTV news interview that this tattoo had a deeper meaning. It was meant to signify the opposite of 666.

In addition to the tattoo, Juice Wrld also made an effort to include 999 in many of the items in his official merchandise store. In short, this number held a great deal of meaning to him.

This is definitely one of the most interesting tribute tattoo ideas! Rather than spelling out his name, this person has decided to go with a really cool juice box.
The great thing about this kind of tattoo is that it tends to be a bit more timeless. Also, as the name of the artist isn't the main focus, this kind of tattoo is more open to interpretation.

Although the 999 tattoo was popularized by Juice Wrld, many people have found comfort in the number 999 due to its importance as an angel number.
So, what is an angel number?
Well, angel numbers are repeating sequences of numbers - they range from 000 to 999. Each of these numbers has a deeper spiritual meaning.

9 is meant to be a symbol of conclusion. When you see this number, it means that something is coming to an end. When the number is repeated in a three digit series, it is meant to represent the circular element of life.
See, your 999 tattoo is not meant to be viewed as a symbol of finality. Although many people can see endings as a sad thing, this isn't the case at all.
Rather, the 999 tattoo signifies both the end of a current element as well as the beginning of something new.

Keep in mind that in many instances that we can't really invite something new in our lives if we don't first clear out the old elements. Most people have a tendency to what they know and this can prevent them from accepting the new opportunities that come their way.
Getting a 999 tattoo can be your way of telling yourself to let go when things don't benefit you any longer. Yes, this can be difficult to do but you will be rewarded with something new, better, and potentially more beautiful as well.
If you love tattoos to have future meanings as well, then the 999 body art is definitely for you. This is because the 999 body design can also be a symbol for your love life in the future.

This is an unusual take on the idea of angel numbers. As you can see with this tattoo, the number 999 is accompanied by a katana and flowers. The sword represents the end of a journey while the blooming flowers are a symbol of the new beginning.
This is a great tattoo if you want to put your own spin on your new tattoo or if you would also like to incorporate a certain theme or culture into your tattoo.

In some cases, you may not like the concept of angel numbers, but you may like the idea behind what 999 tattoo is supposed to mean. In short, this number represents transformation.
The 999 tattoo is a way for you to push yourself forward so that you can keep growing and evolving.
A great way of focusing on transformation with your 999 tattoo is to include transformative elements in your tattoo.
The most common way to do this would be to get a 999 tattoo with a butterfly. Any kind of butterfly would do, but a lot of people seem to like the butterfly blackwork tattoo as it has a cool and gothic element to it.
The reason for a butterfly is because these insects start out as caterpillars. Then, they form a chrysalis around themselves and emerge out of from their cocoon as a butterfly - a beautiful creature with wings!
To add to this, what a lot of people don't realize is that butterflies have to fight to get out of their cocoon. Although this is a struggle, this is what helps the butterfly to have strong and powerful wings.
Another great thing about having a butterfly in your 999 tattoo is that butterflies are also associated with freedom. This is because they are able to travel for hundreds or even thousands of miles.
If you want your new beginning to involve freedom or leaving this current situation, position, or place in your life, then a butterfly is the perfect option for you.
At the same time, this kind of tattoo can also be your own personal take on fleeting beauty and how everything in life that you currently consider important - youth, beauty, etc. will all come to an end.
After all, butterflies are incredibly beautiful but they only live for a few days or months at a time. So, this kind of tattoo can be a good reminder for you not to put too much stock in things that don't last.

Many people have long revered the snake for its ability to shed its skin. This is why many ancient cultures have associated the snake with transformation.
In the West, though, the snake was typically associated with sin, bad personalities, and Satan due to the bible. These days, though, the thought process is changing and snakes are being seen in a new and positive light.
So, if you aren't really crazy about getting a butterfly blackwork tattoo, then you may want to consider getting a snake instead.
A snake can also be a good symbol for how you feel. These creatures are powerful, lithe, resourceful, and strike fear into the hearts of the most dangerous creatures.
As an added bonus, there is also something sensual about snakes at the same time.
