It could also be possible that though you want a God of War tattoo, you may not want to make it too obvious what your God of War tattoo means.
In this case, you may want to think about just getting the symbol of the video games as a God of War tattoo.

Now, for this kind of God of War tattoo, you do have to think of the version that you want to go with. The symbol has always been the Omega symbol. However, as the God of War game switched locations, the symbol began to include Norse symbols as well.

If you are considering Kratos tattoo designs, then this is certainly not very surprising. After all, he is the main character of God of War and the one who you follow along on his many treacherous adventures.
There is also no denying that the Spartan warrior is a very intriguing character. He is so much more than a video game protagonist. Instead, he has a fully developed back story which is one of the reasons that he is such a compelling person to follow. This makes Kratos's tattoos of all the God of War tattoo concepts all the more interesting.

When it comes to a Kratos tattoo design, there are a few different options available to you. For instance, you can make Kratos look like he does in the game. Or, your Kratos tattoo can be of what the character may look like if he were a real person.
If you would like to get a more complex Kratos God of War tattoo, though, you should work with a talented tattoo artist.

Of course, there are lots of ways for you to get creative here and you can portray Kratos in your God of War tattoo in any way that you want!
If you are familiar with the gameplay, then you know that Kratos has a red tattoo mark going down his face. In case you are wondering what kind of tattoo Kratos has, then you should be aware that this is a homage to his brother. So, this is a detail that you may want to include in Kratos tattoos.

As a fan of the God of War series, you are no stranger to the Blades of Chaos. On the surface, this is a really cool weapon - after all, it was forged in the depths of Hades. The Blades of Chaos are also extremely capable weapons, claiming quite a few victims.
There is a bit more to this weapon, though. The Blades of Chaos are a physical representation of Kratos's allegiance to Ares, the God of War, as well as other gods and goddesses of Greek Mythology. They are also considered a form of punishment. This is even more evident by the fact that the weapon is attached to his very skin.

To a certain degree, the Blades of Chaos are also a representation of Kratos's former, bloody life. There was a period of time when he served Ares without question and caused a great deal of destruction as a result.
Of course, for God of War fans, this kind of God of War tattoo is another way to get a really cool tattoo that is linked to their favorite video game.

Now, the Blades of Chaos may be the best-known weapons, practically a symbol of the protagonist and his intentions. However, as Kratos goes on more adventures, he eventually accumulates a greater number of weapons. So, if you are looking for different God of War ink ideas, this is certainly something to consider.

There is also the Blade of Artemis. This weapon is slower than the Blades of Chaos but it can also do more damage when wielded.
Of course, as the God of War franchise continues, you also have God of War II, God of War III, God of War (2018), and God of War Ragnarok. After a while, Kratos leaves Greece behind and heads toward Midgard. This is where the video game begins to delve into Norse mythology.

It is also where Kratos gets his hands on the Leviathan axe. This is a one-handed frost axe that can be thrown and then recalled by Kratos.
In short, if you want Kratos's weapons as a God of War tattoo, there are plenty of ideas for you to choose from, including the Leviathan axe.

Are you a fan of the God of War Ragnarok series? If so, you may want to think about getting a God of War tattoo in the form of Atreus.
An Atreus God of War tattoo is also a way to show the continuation of the series even after Kratos is done with the events in Greece and the characters linked to Greek mythology.
You also have to admit that this kind of God of War tattoo also depicts a pretty interesting storyline. This is because as fans learn, Atreus isn't just the son of Kratos and Faye. Thanks to his mother and father's unique bloodlines, the boy is also part giant, part God, and part human.
Eventually, he is also revealed as Loki, the Norse God of mischief. In any case, there are lots of different ways for you to get a really cool God of War tattoo here.

I have to say that this is one of my favorite God of War tattoo designs. This is because there is so much more to this God of War tattoo than meets the eye.
On the surface, this God of War tattoo seems to depict Kratos and his son Atreus. If you look a little deeper at this God of War tattoo, though, you can also see that it is a good depiction of the past and the present versions of Kratos.
This is because Atreus is young, undisciplined, and largely fueled by emotion much like Kratos once was. However, the Kratos that you see now in this God of War tattoo has matured considerably. He has learned from his past actions and experiences and is wiser for it.

If you would like to do something a little different with your God of War tattoo, then you can consider Mimir body art.
Although this character is only introduced later in the God of War game series, he becomes an important element pretty quickly. This is why the idea of this kind of God of War tattoo may appeal to you.
This is because Mimir is considered one of the most - if not the most - intelligent characters in the game. As such, he guides Atreus and Kratos on their journey.
In general, though, Mimir can work well as a God of War tattoo simply because he reminds you of the importance of intelligence.

If you are looking for a really cool God of War tattoo, then it doesn't get any cooler than a Valkyrie God of War tattoo!
For one thing, the Valkyrie in the God of War game are so well-designed. So, you get a really aesthetic God of War tattoo as a result.
The other thing is that the Valkyrie are some pretty awesome characters. The Valkyrie have incredible powers and their job is to take fallen soldiers from the battlefield to Valhalla.
However, in the game, the Valkyrie are cursed by Odin and have to stay in their physical form which can drive them to madness. So, Kratos and Atreus help them break this curse.
There are some Valkyrie that choose to voluntarily serve Odin, though, and they are considered some of the antagonists of the game.

The red tattoo on Kratos is meant to be a replica of the birthmark that Kratos, brother Deimos had. It is meant to remind Kratos of family and help him to be a better version of himself.
Despite being a child, Atreus does have several tattoos.
So, you may have wondered:
What does Atreus's finger tattoo mean? And the one on his neck and right arm? Well, these tattoo designs appear to be related to his physical prowess and his skill with a bow and arrow. In short, they are symbols of how he hopes to improve his capabilities in these areas.
There you go - here are the top God of War tattoo concepts that you should check out for yourself! With so many to choose from, you should have no trouble finding the right option for you!
