Interview with LA Canvas - We had a great time shooting this editorial with LA canvas, and answered some surprisingly interesting questions. The interview was supposed to last 20 minutes but we went on talking for more than 50. See the full shoot on there site and If you want to learn more about us READ THE INTERVIEW HERE

    Special thanks to Zanerobe

  2. Hall - Luckily we didn’t get kicked out when shooting this. Last week we headed to downtown to shoot for the blog as usual. We planned to shoot an in the streets, “lifestyle” post but stumbled upon the Los Angeles City Hall. When we got to where these pictures were taken we were just waiting for some security guy to come tell us, “yeah you guys can’t take pictures here,” but nothing. So we went on shooting like G’s! Haha.

We used the sun to our benefit here and tried to capture the wide area oh the corridor. It’s weird…when editing the photos we seemed almost miniature as if we had been shrunk, especially on the last picture if you take another look I think you’ll really understand.

  3.    Jibril Durimel          My thoughts on todays up and coming dapper gent - Now don’t get me wrong the suited look when done well is one of my favorites. If you want to talk about a fitted suit I can go on for days, but what’s starting to really suck is the lack of innovation when it comes to the “Dapper” look. There’s a big trend pool in the menswear scene that’s been growing. Many don’t know it because it’s fairly new, but it’s sprouting so fast I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes the place for “swag” in 2014. No need to explain, we all know what that did to our generation. It might just be the word that’s personally off putting to me but these dapper bloggers are becoming so predictably boring. Just saying that I’d like to see you guys think past: Your color block Sock – Oh you wore Red polka-dot socks with your monotone black suit to add “a pop of color” and show how well you use accent pieces? Your Pink shirt – No bro, that was daring back in 2006 before Andre 3000 came out and had it go mainstream. Today your pink shirt’s just another navy or gray. Your floral pants – I don’t think I’ve ever seen something worn the same as much as a pair of floral pants. “I kept it simple with a white shirt up top. You know cause the pants are already making so much of a statement.” (douchebag voice)  said almost every guy that has worn floral bottoms. Your new dress shoes – I just think guys need to become a bit more selective with their shoe choice. A wing tip design does not make a shoe the next best thing. Let’s look at the overall shape, and design and ask ourselves is that really a nice shoe or is it just another overpriced Ferragamo.    So what I’m saying is that the suit style is cool but let’s looks into details beyond those totally expected “unexpected” pieces. Now to not make this some “Jibril decided to vent” article I put up a few products you can look into to give your formal looks a cooler twist because if I hear the word dapper one more time…well… I don’t actually know what ill do but please! :P Click to comment here

  4. Alice’s Duty - Believe it or not we shot this in sunny Los Angeles. The weather was a little gloomy that day but still nothing close to a typical day in Stratford London. The result we got from this shoot was amazing and we think it’s one our best so far. It’s always a bit scary to shoot on a gloomy day here because you’re not sure what the result will be when you’re so used to being spoiled by the sunny, empty skies, but that too can get get boring and repetitive. Jalan’s look is a mix of vintage and contemporary menswear. A school boy went runway… kinda haha! As for me (Jibril) I’m getting kind of over the sock to “Pop” look but I liked how it came out here. The socks played off perfectly with the polo, but still a dark look with the bottoms so that was a cool coordination playing off of Jalan’s vibrant colors.
